Scott Mallon spends his days meandering through Southeast Asia, laptop strapped to his back, camera in hand, shooting photos in an effort to deliver something useful to the world while at the same time contributing to my his immortality.
His photographs have been featured by HBO Sports, the Bangkok Post, the Phuket Gazette, Irrawaddy Magazine, Ring Magazine, Boxing Digest, Boxing News, Fight News, The Fist, Black Belt Magazine , Muay Lok and numerous other publications. Mallon is a past member of the Boxing Writers Association of America, Ring Magazine’s Rating Panel, Yahoo’s Boxing Rating Panel and was formerly the editor of Asian Boxing News. In 2007 he received the Boxing Writers Association of America’s prestigious 2007 Barney Award for Investigative Reporting.
In 2008, his photographs from the Beijing Olympics were exhibited in "One World, One Dream" in Bangkok's Chulalongkorn University.
While not traveling, he watches movies and drinks double espressos. Currently working on two book projects, he lives in Bangkok, with his wife and two sons Alex and Nick.
