Whether you're visiting Bangkok or you live here, Chinatown is one of the best places in the city to get away and experience a culture within a culture. I go to Chinatown as often as possible, sometimes going for a coffee, other times to shop, but almost always a trip to Chinatown includes eating. Today's video explores the Shangri-la Restaurant on Yaowarat Road, the main road in Chinatown. I have taken my mother, sister, wife and kids, and many friends to this restaurant and the food and service are always top-notch. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive.

Thanks Kiate. My life is relaxed and they have been out of school so I might as well spend the time I have with them. The oldest one is almost 12 and before you know it they'll be in university, married with children. They're only young for so long so I need to make the most of my time with them.

Nice Video! I found the link on the food and wine group of CS. I'll look for more and take a better look at your site. Video is always a GREAT tool to gather into about a new place. I hope to visit Thailand soon.
